Product Description
A quirky and lively arrangement of the end credits music from the hit film, Moulin Rouge. Edited for length (down from 6:50 to 4:50), this arrangement is suitable for a group of mixed-ability intermediate to advanced players. All parts have interest, though the first two cello parts take the melody lines (often in treble clef) whilst the other parts remain in the bass clef.
All of Emma's arrangements find creative and artistic ways to re-present original songs in a way that suits the new instruments and ensemble whilst maintaining the integrity of the original piece. Her aim is to go far beyond a simple copying of the melody and harmony, but to create an arrangement that sounds as if the piece was always meant for these new instruments.
Emma Butterworth is a composer for film and TV and also a successful Suzuki cello teacher. She has an intimate knowledge of how to write for strings, and has written and arranged a vast number of pieces for cellos and strings especially. All pieces have been played and performed.
