Product Description

A fun and satisfying arrangement of Sia's best-selling song for four cellos. All parts have interest and are suitable for a group of equal-ability or mixed-ability intermediate to advanced players. This arrangement channels the spirit of the original, with rhythmic bass lines providing the drive and movement originally found in the drums, and counter-melody lines threaded through all the parts.

All of Emma's arrangements find creative and artistic ways to re-present original songs in a way that suits the new instruments and ensemble whilst maintaining the integrity of the original piece. Her aim is to go far beyond a simple copying of the melody and harmony, but to create an arrangement that sounds as if the piece was always meant for these new instruments.

Emma Butterworth is a composer for film and TV and also a successful Suzuki cello teacher. She has an intimate knowledge of how to write for strings, and has written and arranged a vast number of pieces for cellos and strings especially. All pieces have been played and performed.
