Ben Folds Five bassist Robert Sledge wrote this instrumental track for the band's 1999 album The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, however the track was not included on the final album and only released as a B-side on album singles. This is a full score arrangement of Birds with parts for tack piano, violins 1 & 2, viola, cello, bass, and percussion. Every effort has been made achieve a note-for-note transcription from the original recording.
