Product Description
Originally a setting of
a poem by John Betjemen, this piece arranged for piano solo, has become
a wordless song in its own right. The somewhat cryptic title is a line
taken from the original poem. This and seven other pieces forms a suite of pieces entitled As Wordless as the Windy Sky:
1 Can Those Boats Be Only Rooftops?
2 The Sandy Path That Leads Me Down
3 A Kingdom of its Own
4 As Wordless
as the Windy Sky
5 Let Me Count
the Ways
6 That Quite Unprecedented Three
7 Screened From the Public Gaze
8 When the Long Trick's Over
Together they create a broadly biographical
sequence from the imagination of childhood, through holidays,
religion, love, the pleasures of the middle years to the inevitability
of old age. The whole suite of music is available on SMP in one book
As Wordless as the Windy Sky (Book) or as separate pieces.
