The parts pass the solo between them and harmonize with each other, providing a balanced performance where both flutist have a chance to demonstrate their strengths, and support each other.

The addition of a second "soloist" allows the performers to be more creative with their showmanship, and even add comedic elements to their concert with banter between the performers.

Score and Parts Included

In addition to the full score, this arrangement includes an additional piano reduction that combines both flute parts on one staff. This greatly reduces the number of page turns for the pianist.
