Frank Lestina

With degrees from Roosevelt University and the University of Illinois, I taught orchestra in Illinois for 33 years including Danville, Libertyville, and Vernon Hills. My orchestras performed at the Midwest Clinic in 1991, 1996 and 2009. In addition, I traveled extensively with the orchestras, including tours to Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, and China.
     Since retiring from public school in 2013, I have served as adjunct faculty at DePaul University and VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. I also serve on the Advisory Board of The Midwest Clinic and moderate the New Music Reading Session for Orchestra.
     I enjoy staying active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator at both the middle and high school levels. I also enjoy arranging and adapting music for string and full orchestra.
