Uroš Silaški

Uroš Silaški was born on 22. of August 2000, and started his musical journey in Primary music school in Kikinda at 8 years old by taking guitar classes. 


 He continued his education at the  ,,Josif Marinković‘‘ Music School in Zrenjanin, and graduated in musical theory while also  taking trombone classes on the side. At this time he attended a jazz section led by Slobodan Ćirić. 


 In 2020, after graduating high school, Uroš enrolled in the Faculty of Music Arts program in Belgrade, jazz department, and majored in jazz trombone. He is currently in fourth year. 


 While studying, he participated in various projects, which include: 


Nisville Jazz Festival in 2021.
Kotor Art in 2022.
Belgrade Spring in 2023.
Summer Jazz Academy, Dortmund – Novi Sad in 2023.
In a Search of Our Musical Roots, Podgorica in 2021. and 2022.


 From September 2021. to July 2022. Uroš worked for RTS Big Band ( alongside John Marshall, Stejpko Gut, Claus Raible, Uroš Perić, nad Vasilic, Vladimir Nikolov, Dina Rizvic, Lana Janjanin ), while playing trombone. 

Now he is composing, aranging and performing music.
