Marie Rogers Publishing

Marie Rogers is a retired music specialist and choral director with 26 
years of experience in Texas public schools. She earned her 
Bachelor’s degree in music education and Piano Performance at the 
University of Texas at Arlington.  Marie’s choirs earned numerous 
Sweepstakes awards at UIL competitions and numerous Best in Class 
and Grand Champion awards at area Choral festivals. She is now an 
active collaborative pianist and church musician, whose clients have 
included many in the DFW area. She is also a musician under the Trekorda.com 
Collaborative Musicians Network. Marie has performed at numerous Region concerts and 
UIL competitions. Her collaborative performances include TMEA, TCDA, and SWACDA, and she was the 
rehearsal and concert pianist for the Great American Choral Festival in Firenze, Italy.  
I was honored to play the Memorial service at the Meyerson Symphony Center for the fallen 
Dallas police officers and their families. Former presidents Barack Obama, George Bush, 
and then Vice President Joe Biden attended. Marie also worked as a collaborative staff pianist for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2013-2016. 
Marie began her career as a church pianist at age 15 and has served at Ridglea West 
Baptist Church, Western Hills Baptist Church, and Genesis UMC. She is currently the 
pianist at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas. Marie is a mezzo-soprano and sings and 
substitutes as a collaborative pianist with the Dallas Symphony Chorus. Composing and 
arranging choral music, piano literature, and teaching piano is a priority at this stage of her 
career.
