Chi-Chi Lin Bestmann is a conductor and violist who bridges classical and contemporary music worlds. Originally from Taiwan, she has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall. She currently serves as conductor for the JCC Symphony of Minnesota and MacPhail's Northside Youth Orchestra, while maintaining an active career as a chamber musician and educator. A graduate of Mannes School of Music, she has held faculty positions at several institutions and founded Petite Concerts, a program bringing live music to young children. Currently based in Minnesota with her family, Ms. Bestmann remains active in the Twin Cities' music scene as a performer, teacher and business owner.  When not performing, conducting, arranging or running her business, Chi-Chi enjoys reading, cooking, eating, listening to music/podcasts, making dumplings with her daughters and walking her puppy!
