Ralph Raymond Hays

Ralph Raymond Hays is a Pulitzer Prize nominated composer and arranger with a catalog of nearly five hundred works. He has earned degrees in music from the University of Miami where he studied with acclaimed composer Alfred Reed and from Kent State University where he first taught college level Music Theory. Professor Hays has been awarded numerous accolades including serving as Composer-in-Residence at California State University, recieving a New York Arts in Education Grant, winning the Dallas Wind Symphony's Fanfare Competition, and the aforementioned nomination for the 2023 Pulizter Prize in Music Composition.
