Toi Horn

Toi Horn is a composer pianist from the District for Columbia. She started playing piano at the age of 9 years old and started playing the violin at the age of 8 years old. Toi attended the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts. Her major was piano and her minor was the cello. After she graduated from highschool, she immediately attended the University of Maryland College Park and majored in concert piano. Ms. Horn has played in several piano competitions and several orchestras growing up. Her aunt was the famous legendary jazz pianist vocalist Shirley Horn. Shirley Horn influenced Toi to play piano. Toi loved the piano and violin. Today, Toi has composed several piano solo contemporary classical, jazz, and R&B songs. She is a seasoned vet. Toi is also a singer songwriter. She has several vocal songs that have a hip hop, R&B, jazzy edge. One of her popular R&B neo soul vocal tunes is called "Let It Happen."
