Neil Boumpani has been arranging for over 40 years, arranging and composing over 2000 works (lost track years ago).  In college he studied with arranger Frank Hunter (Mike Douglas Show, and arranger for stars like Robert Goulet, Nat Cole, Coleman Hawkins, Tony Orlando and Dawn, and many others).  Since leaving college, Neil has used his arranging skills for the bands he has directed, and custom writing for marching bands, concert bands, and big bands on the East Coast.  He has also written countless arrangements for small instrumental ensembles, and composed works for bands from beginners to advanced performers.

Neil recently retired after 17 years as a college professor in a small Georgia college.  Prior to that he taught in the public schools in New Jersey and North Carolina, and spent 18 years as the director of the Duke University Marching and Pep Bands.   Neil is a percussionist who has played both vibes and drums professionally, and continues to do so in retirement.

Neil lives with his wife Dawn, in Shallotte, North Carolina, right next to his youngest daughter's family, including his only granddaughter.  He is spending his time spoiling his granddaughter, performing, teaching privately, and finally getting many of his arrangements and compositions ready for publication.
