Chris hails from Huddersfield in the U.K. and began to learn the cornet at the age of 12. After leaving school, Chris persued an interesting and varied career in Army Music. On completion of his military service Chris became a secondary school teacher, before eventually working as a peripatetic brass teacher. Chris is now happily retired, Chris continues to compose and arrange for brass as well as other genres, and also plays the cornet in local brass bands. More recently Chris has taken up the chromatic harmonica as a retirement challenge, and is beginning to show modest signs of progress!
