Arrangement of a lovely piece of music

As bassoonists we are envious of violinists, flautists and oboists who often have the most fantastic singer accompaniments in the Bach cantatas. This is one of the few (the only?) piece where the bassoon has that role to support an aria for tenor and counter tenor. It is great to play this with singers, but this arrangement comes as a next best experience.
This arrangement has been kept in the same key as the original, which makes it convenient for the bassoon. This however makes the counter tenor part very high and difficult for bassoon 2.
