Product Description

Take Five is a jazz standard composed by alto saxophonist Paul Desmond. It was originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1959 for the album Time Out. The most distinctive feature of Take Five is undoubtedly its exotic 5/4 time signature.

In addition to the original version by the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Grover Washington, Jr.'s rendition also served as an inspiration for this arrangement. The arrangement is in the original key of E-flat minor and includes a very precise transcription of Paul Desmond's iconic solo. This arrangement is partly based on my version for Saxophone Trio but also incorporates a few new ideas.

Saxophone Duet TB. Duration: 3:15 min. Level: 4/5.
