Product Description

A masterpiece by Mendelssohn, now in a wonderful piano four-hands edition! Widely available as a piano solo, the Op. 117 presents many challenges for the solo pianist: its a longer piece at a fast tempo, with repeated left hand arpeggios that break the octave, some awkward intervals, and a middle section with two voices in the right hand-fast triplets and a legato top voice. Its playable, but very tricky. However, as a duet, the piece becomes an absolute delight! The RH and LH now have their own pianist (one piano, four hands) to make things much easier. Also included are lots of helpful fingerings. Recently tested in my own piano studio/laboratory, this edition brings great satisfaction to pianists at an intermediate level and beyond. This would be a sensational encore piece at any recital. Add it to your collection today!
