Product Description

This is a brass quintet arrangement of the most popular of the cakewalk songs, songs played since plantation times when dancing couples competed for a cake. The sheet music had this disclaimer: "This March was not intended to be a part of the religious exercises at a Georgia Camp Meeting, but when the young folks got together they felt as if they needed some amusement. A Cake Walk was suggested and held in a quiet place near by - hence this music." Included is a Trombone 2 part doubling the Horn

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
