Seven Studies for Solo Mallet Percussion are designed as supplemental short solos that allow students to work on their mallet percussion skills in addition to their regular lesson books. These pieces can be played on xylophone, marimba, vibraphone or orchestra bells. The pieces in volume 0 are for beginner students that have been playing for a little while, are played with two mallets and give the students practice in key signatures up to one sharp and flat, time signatures including 4/4, 3/4 and 2/4, quarter notes, half notes and whole notes the last two pieces include eighth notes. All the notes are between middle C and F at the top of the treble clef staff. This collection can also be found in the "Seven Studies for Solo Mallet Percussion Volumes 0, 1 & 2 Complete". Each piece is also available separately.
