Tell me the Old, Old Story words were written by Miss Katherine Hankey (1866), an English evangelist who organized and taught in Sunday Schools in London, then did missionary work as a nurse in Africa. She wrote the lyrics when she was recovering from a serious illness in London. Music by Episcopal Church bishop, Bishop Doane.
