This famous tune from Rossini's "William Tell Overture" is always a favourite! The melody is shared between the violins & viola, and many of Rossini's background motifs have been included. The 1st violin does go briefly into 5th position, but this could be played down the octave if necessary.

Please excuse the ridiculous computerised articulations in the recording!
