Product Description

Dancing Devil is a scherzo (and also similar to a tarantella) for clarinet quartet (4 soprano clarinets). The piece features a whirling motive that is passed around the clarinets. The title refers to a "Dust Devil," or a type of tornado of dirt found in the southwestern United States, but listeners could also imagine the kind of devil that is red, has a tail, horns, and a pitchfork! The piece is roughly 2:30 minutes.
