Product Description
This collection spans four centuries, with an emphasis on
European carols. Suitable for 2nd
year/early intermediate players, this is the first Christmas book in a series
where instruments can be mixed and matched.
Most carols have one verse that can be repeated as needed. Three carols have two verses, the second of
which places the melody in the second part with an obbligato in the first. All books are written in the same concert key
so that any grouping of players can join together in celebrating the season! Though some carols are in traditional hymnal
keys, most vary by a whole step to accommodate the ranges and keys of all
instruments in the series. Alto sax, clarinet/trumpet, French horn, and trombone/bassoon books are also available. The
carols and their concert keys are:
