A simple setting of everyone's favorite holiday tune. Easy ranges and the use of antiphonal bells (optional) will make UKRAINIAN BELL CAROL the hit of the concert. Suggestions are included for using your beginner percussionists to play the antiphonal bell parts on their bell sets while your advanced band plays the music.
FEATURES: Brass players remove mouthpiece and blow air to give wind sound; Antiphonal Bells (optional, see below) adds excitement to performance; Simple parts for all; 1st Clarinet remains below break except for 3 notes (m.77).
NOTE: Included is a SITE LICENSE granting permission to photocopy as many SCORES or PARTS as needed for use by your school.(BcP-YB).
KEY and RANGES: Written in Concert G minor. All parts are well within 2nd-year ranges: Flute to B-flat above staff; 1st Clarinet to E on staff; 2nd Clarinet remains below break; Trumpet 1 to 4th space E (only twice); Trombone not above 4th space G.
MINIMUM INSTRUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS: Flute, 2 Clarinets, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Line (Tuba, Bari Sax, Bass Clar, Bsn), Percussion.
INSTRUMENTATION: includes Full Conductor Score (16 pages) and all Parts: one each for Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet 1, Clarinet 2, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone (short divisi), Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Horn in F, Trombone, B.C. Euphonium, T.C. Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion 1 (Snare and Chimes), Percussion 2 (Bass Drum), Percussion 3 (Mark Tree, 3 triangles), Percussion 4 (Sus. Cymbal, Mark Tree), Bells/Chimes, Timpani (2 drums, no pitch changes), optional Antiphonal Bell part (for multiple players).
ANTIPHONAL BELL PART: The Antiphonal Bell parts are optional and may be omitted if desired. However, the effect they create can substantially add to the experience of the piece for audience and performers alike. Complete performance suggestion are written in the score.
