Concerto in D for 4 Violins (TWV 40:202) by Georg Philipp Telemann is a beautiful baroque piece that is now arranged for 4 Cellos. It contains the first two movements, Adagio and Allegro. This arrangement is an intermediate-advanced piece that is written completely in tenor clef and it has been transposed from D major to C major. This arrangement has already been bowed so that it can be played right away. Performance notes for Allegro: 16th notes should be played forte and detaché. 8th notes should be played piano and staccato.
