Product Description

This is little effective Christmas piece for a junior or lower intermediate String Orchestra, grades 1-3. Here is my own children's group playing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vqs75ANFhWI
It tells the the story of Good King Wenceslas in music using double bass as the heavy footsteps, canonic entires to illustrate "following", tremolo to illustrate the cold and open string crossings for the storm. Certain effects are employed such as left hand pizzicato and easy harmonics to develop basic technique and illustrate the snow flakes. Although some entries are tricky for the least experienced players it has been popular with my group of 7 to12 year olds as demonstrated live on the audio here. There is an added violin 4 part (optional) for established beginners and piano to support the bass.
