Stood The Serafim is a fanfare for brass ensemble and organ composed for the inauguration of Schroeder Hall's Brombaugh Op. 9 organ at the Green Music Center. The fanfare is scored for 3 trumpets, 4 horns, 3 trombones, euphonium, tuba and organ. The title refers to the description of angels in Isaiah "Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly."
