The 1968 number one hit for Tom Jones, and now arranged for brass band by Chris North. This popular Tom Jones classic, is in fact a cover version, which started life as the Italian song Gli Occhi Miei (My Eyes), written by Giulio Rapetti Mogol with lyrics by Carlo Donida Labati, and was performed by Dino Eugenio Zambelli , as well as Wilma Goich. The British author and songwriter Jack Fishman, wrote the English lyrics, which bear no relation to the original Italian. This arrangement is faithful to the Tom Jones version, and is scored in the original key of E flat major, modulating E major, so some players could find the final section demanding.
