Product Description
This arrangement is included in the Leatherman Library of Christian
Hymnody (LLOCH). The librarys first 75 entries are codified in the
publication BEST-LOVED HYMNS I, published by FJH Music of Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida, and available from your favorite online music
supplier. Those are the 75 hymns found most often in a broad
cross-section of hymnals published since 1970, and collectively they form the core
canon of hymnody that every church musician should at least be aware
of, IMO.
Features of the LLOCH series include:
Intermediate 2-page solo arrangements suitable for either piano or organ.
Chord symbols included as a service to classical guitarists.
Lyrics included (and occasionally updated) to facilitate congregational singing.
Hymn background information included for personal edification or use as printed program notes.
Optional repeats which allow you to fit into the allotted time available in a service.
An introduction and/or tag in many cases, often incorporating a classical excerpt or related hymn fragment.
This hymn text is a paraphrase of Psalm 1.
