Product Description

Based on a beautiful Korean Folk Song, this piece was written for the 5th Air Force Band in Tokyo, Japan, and performed throughout South Korea to critical acclaim. In 3/4 time, the sax section moves the piece along as gently as the rural country-side that the song reflects. The trumpets then appear in unison weaving the melody over a bed of lush French Horns and Trombones. Finally, with a key change to Eb, a fortissimo climax is reached and then, with descending fourths in the low woodwinds, the piece rests in a soft, gentle ending. This work is recommended for Level 3 or 4. Where needed, the Oboe is cued in the Alto Sax part.
