Bourreé in Twelve Keys is a harmonic and technical study for classical guitar based on transpositions of Johann Sebastian Bach's Bourreé from Suite in E minor (BWV 996). Bourreé in Twelve Keys presents 12 versions of the original piece, each in a different minor key, transporting the performer through the circle of fifths. An excellent resource for sight reading or for practice working in a particular key, the realization of each transposition poses unique challenges and leads the player to explore a range of possibilities for the guitar. Includes the original piece plus eleven transpositions with suggested fingerings and string designations. Note: Retuning required for two of the studies (6=D or 6=D# for the keys of D and D# minor). Some transpositions have been modified slightly to accommodate the range of the guitar.
