Product Description
Many of us have visions of
flying horses and satyrs frolicking in the meadows when we hear this piece,
thanks to Disneys "Fantasia."
In the fourth movement, the heavens open up and Zeus hurls down the lightning bolts, making sport of the peasants
below. The Storm runs about 4 minutes.
In the fifth and final movement the storm is
over, the gods reassure us that all is well, and Beethoven applies his skill at
writing variations on a folk-like melody.
This arrangement is for 1 piccolo, 4 C-flutes, 2 alto flutes, 2 bass flutes, contrabass flute. Includes score and parts, total time aprox 12 1/2 mins. Extensive use of flutter-tonguing. The other movements of this symphony are also available for flute choir.
