Product Description

Haydn originally composed this trio for Baryton, viola & cello, the twenty seventh of one hundred and twenty five he wrote for his employer, Prince Esterhazy who was an enthusiastic baryton player. Unfortunately, the instrument did not 'catch on' and most of this music is not played. The three movements, Adagio cantabile, Allegro di molto & Menuetto & Trio have been arranged for flute, oboe & clarinet in A (with an alternative part for clarinet in Bb). The trio is suitable for players of Intermediate ability and above and is certainly worthy of public performance.
