Product Description

Gustav Mahler wrote the song cycle Kindertotenlieder (Songs on the Death of Children) in 1904 for voice and orchestra. The lyrics are from a group of 428 poems by Friedrich Rückert. Mahler chose five of the poems to set to music.

The music is very intimate, deeply felt and mournful.

Erik Saras and Charles Vernon have beautifully transcribed and edited the complete work of 25 minutes length for Alto Trombone and Piano accompaniment for very advanced level performers.
