Venus, The Bringer of Peace, written in 1914 is the 2nd movement of Holsts great 7-movement orchestral work entitled "The Planets". It sounds sublime, mysterious and sensual. Mr. Sauers brilliant 8 1/2 minute arrangement is scored for a 14-piece Brass Ensemble and Glockenspiel and is appropriate for advanced performers. Instrumentation is for: 3 Trumpets in B-flat, Flugelhorn in B-flat, 4 Horns, 3 Trombones, Euphonium, 2 Tubas & Glockenspiel
