This introduction sets the tone for this arrangement: triumphant and joyous. The first statement of the melody, straightforward and prominent, segues into increasingly complex variations including a fugue-like middle section. After a quiet interlude, the melody returns in exultant form with the lower brass providing a running bass line. The ending recalls the introduction and wraps up this great addition to any Christmas concert.

This arrangement was completed in 2012, and performance time runs about 5 minute, 19 seconds. This version is also available for brass quintet with a second trombone (instead of Horn in F).
