Product Description

Johann Strauss, Jr. used themes from his operetta, Indigo and the Forty Thieves, to create this wonderful orchestra piece. The mysterious Arabian introduction is followed by three Waltzes. Waltz II is the most famous melody.

The pedal and lever harp duet versions are not the same although they can perform in an ensemble together. They differ in the pedal/lever markings, harmony notes and which harp is playing the melody note. The dynamics and Waltz sections are clearly marked.

Johanns youngest brother, Eduard, was a harpist. He conducted his own orchestra from his harp.
