Product Description

This is an original song that makes you think about how some marriages were arranged in the past. Some of them turned into love even if they were in love with someone else. This is a strings arrangement for a duet of violin and cello. You can purchase the mp3 as well under Connie Boss. There is a vocal sheet music arrangement available as well. cdboss@cvalley.net Lyrics below:

Her Diary

Composed by Connie Boss

Verse1:

I was searching through the trunk in the attic

In it were my great grandmas things

There were old photographs and lace

Her diary and an old wedding ring

Refrain 1:

I read her diary

Each word made me feel

As if she were me

It all seemed so real

Verse 2:

She wrote about her true love

I didnt know there was anyone else

Her marriage was pre-arranged

She grew to love in spite how shed felt

Refrain 2:

I read those words that she wrote

About the man of her dreams

A part of her had died

At least thats how it seemed

Verse 3

Her true love was tall dark and handsome

His hands were gentle, yet they were strong

His eyes were as blue as the ocean

With him she should have belonged

Bridge:

I could only imagine how her life must have been

Living all those years with just memories of him

She must have sat and wondered about the life she could have had

She must have cried and cried, she must have been so sad

Verse 4:

Day by day she thought about him

She never saw him after she wed

She was committed to her husband

Some things were better left unsaid

Refrain 4:

But as I read on and on

I realized one thing

The man she truly loved

Had given her this ring

Ending:

I read her diary.
