Silent Durations XV Tango (a Zen experience), written for François Rossé, owes its subtitle due to the presence of elements from the tango as it was played in the 1930's. These include both the steady 8th note pulsations as well as melodic flourishes reminiscent of bandoneon technique. These Silent Duration pieces are notable for their incorporation of silence as an integral part of the compositional fabric. The duration is 6'10. 

Silent Durations XV was premiered by Mihail Vîrtosu, piano at the Festival Zilele Muzichii Contemporane, edita XX in Bucarest, Rumania on April 9, 2008.
