Product Description
These
brief but charming transcriptions of choral music by J. L. Hatton show nicely
contrasting styles. The first piece, "Ripe Strawberries", carries a
simple, cheerful, upbeat melody. The second piece, "When Ev'nings
Twilight", is a slower, more introspective exploration. The third piece,
"Simon the Cellarer", is a rollicking tune depicting a cellarer who
perhaps partakes generously in the products he is supposed to be
safeguarding. Performance time is approximately 2'15" to 2'30" for
the three pieces combined. Arranged for brass quintet (two Bb trumpets,
French horn, trombone, and tuba).
