Product Description

Woody Herman recorded this song with his second Herd on December 27, 1947 for Columbia records. Jimmy Giuffre wrote it and arranged it based on the chord changes of Jeepers Creepers. It originally featured the reed section: three tenors and one baritone saxophone. The order of solos was Zoot Sims, Serge Chaloff, Herbie Steward, and Stan Getz. All four played in the light vibrato style of their idol, Lester Young. This arrangement is playable by either SATB or AATB Saxophone Quartet. Each voice gets a chance to solo. This would be a good way to feature your saxophone section on a band concert program. Duration is 2:57. Contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com
