Tchaikovsky's amazing waltz from Swan Lake, now arranged specifically for gigging string quartets. For example, each part is written on only two sheets, so no page turns (17 pages total, including score, duration 4:15). Phrasings are indicated. Certain notes were lengthened, (e.g., triplet eighth note arpeggios) and the dynamic range was expanded to better emulate the orchestral sound. Also, some coloratura-like passages were dropped an octave for both ease of performance and because a lone violin simply cannot replicate the sound of a dozen.
