Life's Railway to Heaven (Life is Like a Mountain Railroad) was composed in 1890 when Tillman set to music a poem by Baptist preacher M.E. Abbey. The gospel hymn immediately gained popularity that continues today. It has been recorded through the years by artists like Boxcar Willie, the Carter Family, Bill Monroe, the Chuck Wagon Gang, The Oak Ridge Boys, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Brad Paisley
This arrangement is for Easy SAB (soprano, alto, baritone) Choir with a piano accompaniment.  The baritone solo is also in range for tenors.
