Tequila was a surprise No.1 hit for The Champs in 1958 but was originally a filler track recorded in three takes for a B side. In 1959 it became the first rocknroll tune to win a Grammy and has remained popular with party-goers ever since; all this despite having a one word lyric!
This version is a straightforward band arrangement scored for Rhythm Section, Eb and Bb Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet and Flute.
