Product Description

J. S. Bach's monumental work transcribed for unaccompanied solo clarinet by John Gibson. You may view a video of the score at http://youtu.be/zEggChq5zgo "In transcribing these works I have attempted to remain true to the composers intentions while making the music as clarinet friendly as possible. For the Chromatic Fantasy, which was originally for keyboard, I chose to use the BWV 903a version that Bach wrote of the first 23 measures rather than the more often played BWV 903 since it was better suited for clarinet." (John Gibson) This is music for advanced players!

A portion of me playing the Chromatic Fantasy was featured in the Italian film, Recordi? directed by Valerio Mieli. In addition, several lengthy sections of my setting of Bach's Chaconne were played in the film. The clarinetist was Luca Cipriano.
