Based on a Christmas carol composed/arranged by various composers including King John IV of Portugal (16041656) and John Francis Wade (17111786) but probably going back to much earlier times. My variations are as follows:
Verse 1: 4 time, major mode, tune on soprano recorder (Wade's harmonisation)
Verse 2: 4 time, minor mode, decorated tune on soprano recorder
Verse 3: 3 time, major mode, tune on tenor recorder
Verse 4: 3 time, minor mode, tune on bass recorder
Verse 5: 4 time, major mode, tune on alto recorder

Born the King of Angels:

Christ the Lord.
