Product Description
Arrangement for flute choir of Mendelssohn's "O for the Wings of a Dove" (the last section of his anthem "Hear my prayer")
I have used mainly the lower flutes to represent the organ part, the C flutes to represent the choir and the piccolo to represent the treble (or soprano) soloist.
The pdf file contains score and parts
The sound sample is an electronic preview
The words of the original choral piece are:
O for the wings, for the wings of a dove,
Far away, far away I would rove.
O for the wings, for the wings of a dove,
Far away, far away,
Far away, far away I would rove.
In the wilderness build me a nest,
And remain there for ever at rest.
In the wilderness build me, build me a nest,
