This is an arrangement for solo oboe and piano of the beautiful sacred hymn, "Near the Cross." Written at an intermediate level at both the flute and piano and is a perfect for sacred settings or supplemental oboe repertoire for the intermediate student. A separate oboe part is included with the score and the piano track is available for purchase under "Near the Cross Piano Track." James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville where he serves as the Music Department Chairman of Welch College.
