Product Description
Georg Gerson was a Danish composer who wrote over 200 pieces. Not much can be found about him, other than he was also a banker.
Gerson wrote this canon for 4 tenor or bass voices. Canons are sung or played by 2 or more parts playing the same music, but starting at different times. This particular canon is also known as a round - like "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
This piece is arranged so that any combination of the following instruments can play it together: C, Bb, Eb, G, and F.
The rehearsal letters mark the distance that each player is ahead or behind the other. It also marks where the round can end. I would suggest that whoever starts, plays the canon in its entirety at least twice. This will give the part that starts last a chance to play it all the way through.
This is a great piece to play for any occasion.
