Product Description
Mozart wrote this Serenade for wind ensemble. Adagio is the 3rd movement, which features the oboe, clarinet, and basset horn as alternating soloists throughout the movement.
The beginning of this movement was played in the movie, Amadeus, which is where I heard it for the first time. After years of having this on my "to arrange" list, I can finally tick it off.
This arrangement for Double Reed choir has the 3 solo parts in 2 oboes and an English horn, marked as "Solo 1, 2, and 3". The remainder of the group, consisting of oboe, 2 English horns, 2 bassoons, and an optional contrabassoon, provide the accompaniment.
This would be a great piece for any occasion.
