Product Description

Free is a popular love song by the Zac Brown Band. This arrangement is based on the extended version, complete with the violin solo introduction. It is in the original key, with the flats creating a great melancholy feeling. In order to avoid tuning the violin down a half step (i.e., scordatura) for the double stop passages, the second violin/viola accompanies the first violin to create the sound of double stops while allowing the instruments to tune as usual. After the introduction, the viola and cello take the lead with the upbeat rhythm that is the hallmark of the song.

As with all of our trio arrangements, the middle voice is included in both treble and alto clef so it can be played by either two violins and cello, or violin, viola and cello. From your friends at Zene Strings - enjoy!
